All of our pewter products can be used with total safety for eating and drinking as they consist of 100%25 non-toxic materials in conformity with EU standard EN-611/1.%3C/P%3E%3Ch3%3E%3CB%3EAntique Finish%3C/B%3E%3C/h3%3E%3CP%3EEach product is made unique through a special %27antique%27 burnishing process. Whilst retaining an underlying surface brightness this process adds a distinctive %27aged%27 look that adds tone and warmth to all our products.%3C/P%3E%3Ch3%3E%3CB%3EThe Care of Pewter%3C/B%3E%3C/h3%3E%3CP%3EThe purity of the alloy used means that there can be no oxidisation and therefore our products require very little cleaning. However, we would recommend hand washing for items such as glasses. Apart from normal dusting it is helpful to wash objects occasionally in water with washing up liquid and to dry carefully with a soft cloth.
